A Prayer for our Children and Home

Father, You are seeking godly offspring from us, so we will not break our faithMalachi 2:15. We will tell our children and grandchildren how You performed miraculous signs that they may know You are the LORDEx.10:2.  May Your splendour be shown to our childrenPs.90:16. Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their childrenProv.17:6. As we have compassion on our children, so the LORD has compassion usPs.103:13. Because of our faith, our children are not unclean but they are holy1Cor.7:14.

We will manage our own family well and see that our children obey us with proper respect1Tim.3:4 that it may go well with them and so they may enjoy a long life on the earthEph.6:3 for this pleases the LordCol.3:20. As we bring up our children in the training and instruction of the LordEph.6:4, we know that they will not turn from it when they are olderProv.22:6.  By disciplining and training our children they will give us peace and they will bring delight to our soulsProv.29:17. All our children will be taught by the LORD, and great will be our children's peaceIs.54:13.  You have said that You will contend with those who contend with us and You will save our childrenIs.49:25. Our children will be mighty in the landPs.112:2.

We will fix Your words in our hearts and minds and teach them to our children. We will talk about them when we sit at home and when we walk along the road, when we lie down and when we get up. We will write them on the door-frames of our houses and on our gates, so that our days and the days of our children may be manyDeut.11:18-21. The promise of forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit is for us and our children - for all whom the Lord our God will callActs 2:38-39.  Your blessing will be on our descendantsIs.44:3.
